A Message from the Vicar
The Rev. Agook (Emanuel) K. Kuol
We welcome you to St. Philip the Evangelist, a Sudanese Community Church (SCC) in Houston. Our central goal is to worship God in truth and experience spiritual impact for Christ. We teach and empower our congregation with this goal in mind for our Christian faith and we beseech God to accept our thanksgiving that we express in form of worship; prayers and praises for God's glory.
To fulfill the Great Commission that our Lord Jesus Christ has commands us, our biblical and theological teachings reflect authentic Christian tradition ministry focusing to win souls for Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage our members to love and faithfully serve God and one another.
The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) is the official book we use during worship. We officiate and administer the sacrament of Holy Communion to baptized and confirmed believers to celebrate in remembrances of Christ’s precious death, powerful resurrection, and glorious ascension until his coming again in glory and power. In conclusion, pursuant of our worship, we involve each part of Christ body in any area of the ministry, whether adults, youth and children to deliver services to the church and beyond for God’s glory.
Blessings,
The Rev. Agook (Emanuel) K. Kuol
